REDROBOT SHOP FRONT
Updating the shop meant there was a need to display some of the products produced by RedRobot or examples of what can be produced. A rough design was drawn up which involved a small shelving unit and then a company branding statement in the window
The shelving unit was drawn up using EnRoute and was a simple interlocking design with a central cut-out. Thick industrial cardboard that is to make lightweight and strong pallets was chosen as it was cheap and would hold the weight of the items and the computer as well.
The screen surround was made form thin cardboard piece that was soon to be scraped. The surround featured a laser etched drawing of the original RedRobot Logo with dimensioning lines and full scaling details. The surround slots in directly in front of the computer screen, this helps to cover up the stand and the path of the wiring.
The second window featured a vinyl printout of the company statement. This was drawn up on Adobe Illustrator and cut on a vinyl machine before being placed on the window. Placing the statement in the centre of the window helps to draw people in and take interest at what is behind the window.
The shelving featured a number of example products that RedRobot produces, as well as a number of example design pieces showing the range of machinery available to produce products. The television played video walkthroughs of current generation products and also teased some upcoming design projects.
